P.s: This P.Bell was 2nd hand, so we recieved no 'master disks' or anything like that. I tried a different Master CD for Windows 95 B and it worked and got to the Restore Menu. I've checked all the cables, and jumper switches. And the "XP-HDD" where I can install XP onto it after I boot it up. One, as the master with the installed OS of ME on it. I entered BIOS and discovered that the HDD and my XP-HDD were not being detected! I plugged in the CD-ROM, and that was not detected either! There isn't anything wrong with the CD-ROM, as it runs fine on my other computer (home-made) and with the Windows ME CD.Īs I could already run the "XP-HDD" from Windows, I had the 'bright' idea of taking the HD out, formatting it on my other computer, installing Windows ME, then plugging it back into the Packard Bell - in the hope of booting it up and then installing XP with the "XP-HDD".Īfter the installation of ME, I took the HDD and plugged it back into the Packard Bell, and it returned the message: Sega PC group also developed a 'retail' version of Sonic CD, later. A mid-range OEM system released in 1996, when Windows 95 was beginning to hit its stride, and another system we can (mostly) recreate in 86Box. ![]() The games was 'bundled' with PC's, i.e., came 'in the box' with new PC's. Over 3 million of those went to Packard Bell. However, the CD-ROM could not read the CD, and it was making the usual horrible noises I get whenever I stick it in the her PC. We ended up selling about 5 million copies of the OEM version of the game. Since, my "XP-HDD" will not boot up like a normal CD, I plugged in my CD-ROM and got the WIN-XP CD out, to give it a try. I finished the installation, but there was no format. However, it prompted that there were files being used on the HDD (I wished to format) for the installation, and could not proceed. ![]() My sister uses a Packard Bell (with no CD-ROM), and wanted me to format her HDD, because she had a virus (small annoying thing that wouldn't stop sending out emails) and basically wanted the whole thing cleared.įirst, I re-installed XP from my XP-CD/HDD through the currently installed OS, (I have a copy of my XP CD on a 1GB HDD for backup, my CD-ROM is dangerous) assuming it would ask me if I wanted to format it during the installation.
